Robbinsdale school board approves LTFM plan, consent items and recesses to closed session

The Robbinsdale Area Schools School Board on May 5, 2025 approved its Long Term Facilities Maintenance (LTFM) Plan and the monthly consent agenda and recessed into a closed session under Minnesota law.
Director ReNae Bowman moved approval of the LTFM plan, with Director Aviva Hillenbrand seconding; the motion "prevailed with a 7-0 vote," according to the meeting record. The board also approved the consent agenda, which grouped routine administrative, personnel and financial matters, by the same voice vote.
Chair Dr. Greta Evans-Becker moved that the board recess to a closed session pursuant to Minn. Stat. § 13D.05, Subd. 2(b) "for preliminary consideration of allegations against an individual subject to the School Board's authority;" Director Bowman seconded and the motion passed 7-0. The meeting recessed at 8:20 p.m. and reconvened at 9:10 p.m.
The board adjourned at 9:11 p.m. after a final motion by Director Helen Bassett that also carried 7-0. Minutes were prepared and submitted by Molly Olson, Assistant Clerk.
