Council voted to adopt Resolution 1396, authorizing the borough manager to execute agreements with the Redevelopment Authority of Allegheny County to seek a grant of $215,500 for firehall accessibility improvements.
"I move that we adopt resolution 13 96, authorizing the borough manager to execute all documents and agreements between the borough of GreenTree and the redevelopment authority of Allegheny County to assist in obtaining a grant in the amount of $215,500 to be used for firehall accessibility improvements," the motion stated. Council discussion noted the grant would be filed by LSSE on behalf of the borough and the action passed by roll call.
Council members said the improvements aim to increase access and compliance with applicable accessibility standards; staff will work with LSSE on the grant application and implementation steps should the grant be awarded.
