District reports 100% 7th-grade immunization compliance; DVA audit complete and Raptor rollout underway

Tiffany Morgan, Health Services Coordinator and District Nurse, told the board that the district achieved 100% compliance on 7th-grade immunization records following an audit by the Texas Department of Health and Human Services. Morgan also highlighted mobile vaccine clinics held Dec. 4, 2024 and Mar. 31, 2025 that provided on-site vaccinations for staff and students.
Chris Conner, Director of School and Student Services, reported completion of the DVA audit with all requirements met and provided an update on implementation of the Raptor visitor management system across campuses. Conner detailed use of SAFE and School Safety Standards Formula Grants on fencing, security upgrades and upcoming purchases.
Morgan also presented an update to the district wellness procedure emphasizing healthy food and beverage choices, permitting students to carry water and restricting food to designated areas except for approved events. Separately, Sean McCabe outlined summer-school offerings including ESL, Extended School Year (ESY) services and academic-recovery programs for grades 1–11.
