Tarkington ISD board approves personnel actions, delegates hiring authority to superintendent

The motion to approve personnel actions passed 7–0, with board member Kevin Johnson moving the motion and Dwayne Stovall seconding.
In a separate vote, the board authorized Superintendent Dr. Elna Davis to hire and contract for teaching and counseling vacancies through Aug. 31, 2025. The delegation motion, made by Susan Rollins and seconded by Paige Bostwick, also passed 7–0. The minutes record these as actions taken “as presented in closed session,” and do not list individual hire names in the public record.
