The Zillah City Council approved the Consent Agenda on Jan. 21, 2025, which included claim voucher numbers 59149–59194 dated Dec. 31, 2024, for $277,957.20 and claim voucher numbers 59195–59217 dated Jan. 21, 2025, for $78,419.68 (combined claim vouchers $356,376.88) and payroll voucher numbers 35035–35041 dated Jan. 15, 2024, for $100,104.39. Mr. Argo moved the motion and Mr. Williams seconded; the motion passed with all Councilmembers voting in favor except for Councilmember Doug Stewart, who abstained because he had been absent at the meeting when one of the items was originally considered.
The Consent Agenda also included approval of liquor licenses for Squeeze Inn. Councilmember Janice Gonzales requested staff verify prior minutes to ensure motions and seconds are properly recorded; staff confirmed Study Session minutes do not record motions because no action occurs during Study Sessions and that the Council Meeting minutes were correct.
