Habitability hearing opened for 295 Belvidere Ave after engineer cites overgrown grounds and unsecured RV

Oxford Township opened a habitability hearing for Block 24 Lot 55 (295 Belvidere Ave). Township Engineer Tim O'Brian cited overgrown grass, an unsecured abandoned camper/RV, detached gutter and oil-tank distress and recommended a 30-day cleanup notice; DPW cleanup and possible foreclosure were discussed if not remedied.
At the July 15 meeting the township opened a habitability hearing for property at 295 Belvidere Ave (Block 24 Lot 55). Township Attorney Rich Wenner announced notices had been sent to the owner (Harry O. Fox) and other interested parties (including lienholder Changshen Lu and the Warren County Housing Program). Tim O'Brian, the township engineer sworn in for the hearing, reported exterior concerns observed during a pre-meeting inspection: overgrown grass, an abandoned camper/RV with an unsecured door, a detached gutter, signs of distress on an oil tank and large trees overhanging the residence.
O'Brian recommended cutting the grass, securing the camper/RV and having the construction department inspect the building for structural integrity. Wenner set a 30-day period for the owner and interested parties to clean up and secure structures; he said that if the work was not completed within 30 days the township DPW could perform cleanup and the township could pursue foreclosure. The hearing was closed at the meeting; no enforcement action was recorded at that time.
