Jenkinsburg recognizes 'Full Steam Ahead' events committee, approves park events and waives clubhouse fees

The Jenkinsburg City Council voted to approve yard sale and fun day events to be run by the Full Steam Ahead Events Committee and to formally recognize the group as an advisory committee at its Feb. 23 meeting. Brent Eberspacher moved to approve the events; Jason Watts seconded and the motion passed. Dates were left to be determined.
Separately, the council voted to recognize the Full Steam Ahead Events Committee as an advisory committee “created for the purpose of planning and coordinating community events that promote civic engagement, recreation, and community fellowship for the public benefit of Jenkinsburg residents.” The council also moved to permit the committee to use the Jenkinsburg City Clubhouse and associated city grounds without rental charge, subject to conditions and oversight referenced in Exhibit A to the minutes. Both motions carried unanimously in the recorded vote.
