Kishana Knowles announced her resignation from the Silver Falls School District 4J board, saying the departure will be effective June 30 after she accepted a principal position at Bethany. "My resignation will be effective June 30," she said, and thanked the board for the opportunity to serve.
Chair (speaker 1) and other board members discussed the process to fill the resulting Zone 7 vacancy. The board agreed to post the opening for approximately three weeks, interview candidates at the June workshop and appoint a successor at the July 1 regular meeting, following the same appointment process used previously rather than holding a special election. The board emphasized the vacancy timeline is discretionary under district policy and directed staff to publish application instructions.
