Tina Hammons, speaking for the Department of Education, described a series of contract extensions intended to maintain platforms and services used by teachers and students, including an extension with Cognia for a continuous improvement system and contract work to support the ALEKS teacher resources.
Committee members asked for response counts and clarifications on procurements; staff said 753 proposals were received for one item and that some extensions resulted from RFPs with single or limited respondents. Hammons explained the Kuder contract supports the state’s college and career platform and provides teacher professional development.
