GCS middle/high school report: AP exams, state tests, athletics and Odyssey team heading to world finals

"It's a busy time of year at GCS," Speaker 4 said, outlining that AP exams and state tests recently concluded, the junior and senior prom took place on May 2, and spring concerts are underway. Athletic highlights included the men's track team winning their league and the 4x400 relay winning at the Corning Fast Times Invitational; the flag football team won 32–0 against Leroy. Speaker 4 also said the marching band performed in a parade and will next perform in Geneseo on May 25 for the Memorial Day Parade.
The report noted two students recognized with merit scholarships and that the Odyssey of the Mind team qualified for world finals in Iowa the week of May 27–30; the district planned a send-off and celebratory walkout for the team before departure. The presentation also announced a visiting author, Gordon Korman, scheduled for a school visit the next day.
