Nora Rhoades, Post Rock Extension Director, said the district has completed the last of five county fairs and the fair board will meet July 28 to debrief and plan next year. Rhoades also reported budget work and said the office "will be having an RNR hearing."
Rhoades told the commissioners that "Federal money is being cut for the Post Rock District which has caused a position to be lost," and said the office will hold strategic-planning sessions to determine how to respond to the staffing reduction. The minutes record this as an operational briefing; no county-level budget vote on the position was recorded in the meeting minutes.
