The Tuloso-Midway ISD Board of Trustees on Jan. 27 approved the purchase of a Daikin Model WME magnetic-bearing centrifugal chiller for the high school at a cost of $463,091.00 under TIPS Contract #22010601.
According to the minutes, "It is the Administration's recommendation that the Board approve the TIPS Contract #22010601 purchase of a Daikin Model WME Magnetic Bearing Centrifugal Chiller Unit the High School chiller through Perry Mechanical Systems, Inc. of Corpus Christi, Texas for the amount of $463,091.00." Trustee Rick Chapa moved the item and Trustee Brian Boone seconded; the vote was 6–0 in favor.
