The Jewell County Commissioners voted unanimously July 21 to approve Resolution 25-10, closing a portion of right-of-way along 240 Road. Commissioner Ed Duskie moved the resolution and Commissioner Brent Beck seconded; all three commissioners voted yes on the motion.
The resolution’s legal description was read into the record and states the closure begins “thirty (30) feet west from the northeast corner of the northeast quarter of Section Two (2) in Township One (1) South, Range Seven (7) West of the 6th P.M., running thence south two hundred eighty-seven (287.0) feet, thence west eighty (80) feet, thence north to the state line, thence east eighty (80) feet to the place of beginning.” The motion passed unanimously. The county clerk recorded the adjournment at 10:01 a.m.
