Bowe described the survey’s goals as gathering demographic information, assessing city services (including the city shuttle and permitting), and quantifying anecdotal feedback from residents and business owners. Commissioners raised questions about apparent redundancies (owner-occupier vs. tenant questions), whether to include unlicensed contractors who do business in the city, how to capture reasons businesses left (BurgerFi and others were cited), and whether a 1–10 rating scale would produce more useful detail than binary questions. Bowe said the committee will revise duplicate items, test the Google form for clear options, and coordinate with staff for distribution and follow-up outreach.
