At the July 15 meeting, the Camp Verde Town Council voted unanimously to recommend approval of a Series 9 (liquor store) license for Smoke Express and Liquor, located at 348 S. Main Street #6B. The Council questioned distances to the nearest church or school; Town Attorney Jon Paladini and the Town Clerk answered those questions.
The Council's motion to forward a recommendation of approval passed on a 7-0 roll call vote. "On a motion made by Councilor Murdock, seconded by Councilor Seybold, the Council moved to approve submitting to the Arizona Department of Liquor License and Control a recommendation of approval for a Series 9, Liquor Store License for Smoke Express and Liquor, located at 348 S. Main Street #6B, Camp Verde, Arizona, 86322." The recommendation will be considered by the state authority, which issues final licenses.
