At a public hearing July 15, the Camp Verde Town Council voted unanimously to recommend approval of a Series 12 (restaurant) liquor license for Agustina's Fogon, 396 S. Main Street. Town Clerk Leah Rhodes provided the application overview and Mayor Marie Moore opened and closed the public hearing; there were no public comments. Vice Mayor Wendy Escoffier asked about the restaurant's proximity to the nearest church or school and Town Attorney Jon Paladini responded to that question.
The formal motion passed without dissent. "On a motion made by Councilor Murdock, seconded by Vice Mayor Escoffier, the Council moved to approve submitting to the Arizona Department of Liquor License and Control a recommendation of approval for a Series 12, Restaurant Liquor License for Agustina's Fogon, located at 396 S. Main Street, Camp Verde, Arizona, 86322." The roll call vote was recorded as seven ayes and the motion carried 7-0. The recommendation will be forwarded to the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control for its final decision.
