Mayor Sam Jossy joined Joe Coyle of the Edison Chamber of Commerce and owner Emma at a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Roasted Coffee, located at 1199 Amboy Avenue, Suite F4 in Edison's Claire Barton neighborhood. The mayor announced the location and invited residents to visit the newly opened coffee shop.
"We are here at 1199 Amboy Avenue, Roasted Coffee, Suite F 4," Mayor Sam Jossy said, noting his interest in the shop's coffee sourcing and roasting details. He told the audience he had "a huge lesson about all the different types of beans" and praised the owner's knowledge and enthusiasm.
Asked to speak about her inspiration, Emma described a long-held goal to open a neighborhood gathering place. "So before coffee, it was, my dream to have some kind of a social place, whether it's a restaurant or it's a coffee. And coffee came along, and rest is history," she said. Chamber representative Joe Coyle introduced the program and welcomed attendees on behalf of the Edison Chamber of Commerce.
The ceremony concluded with a countdown and a ceremonial ribbon cutting led by the mayor and the owner. Attendees were encouraged to visit Roasted Coffee in Claire Barton.
