At its Feb. 10 meeting, the Borough of Pitman Council approved a multi-item consent agenda by a single motion. The items included Resolution No. 47 (appointing members to the Pitman Economic Development Committee), Resolution No. 48 (authorizing a shared-services agreement with Gloucester County to provide family entertainment at Sunset Auditorium), Resolution No. 49 (supporting publishing legal notices on official government websites), and Resolution No. 50 (authorizing a closed meeting for contract negotiations). The motion was made by Councilman Fitzpatrick and seconded by Council President Vanessa James and passed on a roll-call vote.
Council followed the consent-agenda policy that routine or noncontroversial matters be enacted together unless a council member requests removal for separate discussion. The authorization for a closed session (Resolution No. 50) listed contract negotiations as the topic; the council later entered closed session and reported no action was taken.
