At the March 24 board meeting, Union Grove Independent School District reported total enrollment of 697 students: High School 226; Junior High 112; Elementary 359.
The district presented Lion of the Month student recognitions to Avery Johnston (elementary), Morgan Morrow (junior high), Mallorie Cannon and Natalie Pritchett (high school). A Lion Pride Award was presented to Casey Beddingfield of RLM Contractors for assistance after vandalism at the JH/HS campus. The board also announced 'Triple E' Staff of the Month recognitions for Amanda Moore (elementary) and James Collins and Jill Winn (JH/HS).
The board received routine financial items including a bill listing and budget analysis; no formal budget changes beyond the later-approved $152,000 amendment for property purchase were recorded at this portion of the meeting. Superintendent Kelly Moore reported on events and provided an update on Balanced Scorecard goal progress monitoring.
