Larry Stefanski, staff engineer with the Lower Paxton Township Department of Engineering, introduced the Mountain View Acres stormwater improvement and roadway paving project and said it is intended to address long‑standing infrastructure failure in the neighborhood. "The main objectives of this project is to address the deteriorating roadways that are crumbling, disappearing from the curb line, and have grass growing through them," Stefanski said, describing how stormwater runoff has worsened pavement conditions.
Stefanski outlined the project's scope — replacement of stormwater facilities and full pavement restoration within township rights‑of‑way — and noted funding support from an authority board that covers the storm portion of the work. He said residents were surveyed in advance and that the design incorporates concerns raised by homeowners; biweekly updates will be posted on the Lower Paxton At Work website and major changes will be announced by letter and social media.
