The Tulia Independent School District Board of Trustees voted July 14 to raise pay for non-teaching staff by 5% for the 2025–2026 school year.
Board Member Nicole Gore moved to approve the recommended 5% increase for non-teacher professionals, librarians, clerical staff, paraprofessionals and auxiliary employees; Board Member Jenni McCaslin seconded the motion. The board recorded a unanimous vote in favor of the increase among members present.
During the meeting Superintendent Dixie Johnson also briefed the board on a separate, state-mandated pay increase for teachers and answered questions from trustees. The transcript does not show a separate board vote on teacher pay during this called meeting.
The board adjourned at 6:47 p.m. and set its next regular meeting for July 21, 2025 at 6:30 p.m.
