Pitman officials say vendor buyout leaves borough to cover annual shred-event costs

Administrator Sandra McCafferty reported to the Borough Council that DocuVault, the company that handled Pitman's annual shred events, has been bought out and the borough will now be responsible for the events' costs. McCafferty said the April 2024 event saw about 70 cars and roughly 2,500 pounds of material, and the October 2024 event had about 50 cars and 1,100 pounds. Council members discussed that continuing the events will require budgeting for the vendor fee going forward; no formal budget action was taken at the work session.
