At the Feb. 10 work session Administrator Sandra McCafferty proposed drafting an ordinance to authorize the Municipal Clerk to submit Bingo and Raffle applications to the State when all required documentation is provided, eliminating the need for each application to come before council for approval.
McCafferty said the change "could help expedite these applications for organizations." Council members expressed no objections during the work session; the administrator said an ordinance will be prepared for review at a future meeting. The proposal would change the administrative routing of charity gaming applications but would not alter State application requirements.
