The Bensenville Village Board adopted a 12-item consent agenda at its Sept. 30 meeting after the deputy village clerk read the items aloud. Items included a zoning/code amendment related to liquor licenses, authorization to negotiate sale of a village-owned parcel, design engineering agreements for stormwater and reconstruction projects, change order approval for a subdivision detention basin, and facility license agreements for youth hockey and tournament use.
The deputy village clerk read the first consent item as: "Number 1, ordinance amending the Bentonville Village Code Title 3, Chapter 3, Liquor Regulations, increasing the number of Class E2 liquor licenses from 2 to 3." After the items were read, a motion and second were recorded and the clerk called the roll; the motion carried with four 'yes' votes.
Selected dollar amounts announced during the consent reading included a design engineering agreement not to exceed $115,790.05, a change order increase of $77,907.50 to a revised contract amount of $435,524.06, and a proposed design engineering agreement for an industrial drive reconstruction project in a not-to-exceed amount of $319,000.07. The board did not request additional discussion on the consent items during the meeting.
