Staff gives $250,000 ballpark for courtroom AV upgrade; county to explore in-house work

Kim Rivas told commissioners staff has a ballpark vendor figure of $250,000 to outsource audiovisual upgrades for courtroom 5 but that county staffer James will also look into whether parts of the project can be done in-house to save money.
"We put a ballpark figure of 250,000 if we were to outsource the project," Rivas said. James said he and his team would evaluate equipment and staffing options and return with a more detailed recommendation if the court wants to pursue a partial in-house approach.
Commissioners asked a few clarifying questions and agreed staff should seek estimates and bring comparisons back for the budget rankings.
