Kim Rivas briefed commissioners on property damage and insurance claim activity from last June nd how those funds are being used for building repairs. Rivas said the file shows a claim listed at $994,000 plus roughly $100,000 in deductibles and that the county received funds from TAC to cover much of the damage.
Rivas told commissioners that so far about $78,000 has been paid in actuals and that a portion of the roughly $894,000 received from TAC is not yet assigned to a specific building and can be used for renovations where needed. She said some funds are being used at 1105 Santa Fe and that the Gymrock building still needs roof and historical-commission-approved work.
Chair and staff discussed which projects to prioritize for the remaining available funds and asked commissioners to coordinate on selections. Rivas said staff will follow up with additional estimates and a recommended prioritization.
