On June 23 the council introduced Ordinance O-11-2026 to amend compensation for certain officers and employees. Councilwoman Stroever questioned a salary provision that applies only to council members elected prior to 2023; Borough Clerk Tami Michelotti said no current members accept a salary under that provision.
The council discussed removing the legacy council-salary line and clarifying the mayoral stipend language related to wedding ceremonies. The ordinance was introduced unanimously and will return for second reading on July 21.
