The Village of Bensenville approved a licensing agreement Feb. 24 that will allow O'Hare Auto Body to use an unimproved right‑of‑way north of the CPKC railroad for off‑site employee parking, staff said. Conditions include requiring the company to improve the land to parking‑lot standards (permeable paving, drainage), prohibit use for vehicles that are works‑in‑progress, limit use to passenger vehicles, and require O'Hare to maintain the parking area and any fence or gate constructed with village approval.
Staff said a small fee and typical contractual obligations are included in the agreement and described it as an unusual but manageable arrangement to support O'Hare's planned facility expansion. The board approved the ordinance unanimously by roll call.
