Board closes out MFT projects, returning unspent funds to the account

The board approved two housekeeping resolutions to close out Motor Fuel Tax (MFT) accounts for completed pavement and sidewalk projects. Staff reported the 2022 allocation was $140,000 and the completed projects cost $113,520.60; the village will return $26,497.40 to its MFT account and notify IDOT. For 2023, staff said $300,000 was allocated and projects completed at $294,368.04, returning $5,631.96 to MFT funds.
Staff described both items as routine closeouts and recommended approval; the board approved both resolutions by roll call.
