The Bensenville Village Board took three zoning actions Dec. 16. The board approved a special-use permit to allow a medium-industrial food-processing use at 1001 Entry Drive, accepting CDC findings and several recommended conditions. The CDC had held a public hearing and recommended approval.
The board also denied a special-use permit for motor-vehicle repair at 1061 Waveland Avenue after CDC review and testimony from neighboring businesses that described outdoor servicing, blocked loading docks and impacts on operations; staff had proposed conditions but commissioners concluded the applicant could not comply. Separately, the board approved a conditional special-use permit for limited indoor motor-vehicle repair at 226 Park Street, restricted to tenant space with no outdoor storage, no body work or painting, and required licensed removal and recycling of automotive fluids.
