Village president honors Donald Schultz for 50 years of emergency-service volunteerism

President Frank DeSimone opened the Dec. 16 meeting by presenting a surprise proclamation honoring Donald (Don) Schultz for 50 years of service in the village’s emergency management programs.
DeSimone read the proclamation noting Schultz’s start as a volunteer after graduating from Fenton High School, his leadership in the village’s ESDA and EMA programs and a 1992 nomination for an IESMA outstanding emergency manager award. "I, Frank DeSimone, village president, on behalf of the village of Bensenville, hereby honor and recognize Donald Schultz for his dedicated service to our community," DeSimone said. The board moved, seconded and approved the proclamation on a voice and roll-call affirmation.
