The Village Board voted to approve a three‑year collective bargaining agreement with AFSCME Council 31 covering about 40 employees in public works, finance, community and economic development, and police. Staff told trustees the prior agreement expired Dec. 31, 2025 and the new contract was ratified by union members on Dec. 10, 2025.
Staff summarized negotiations and said key issues included wages, benefits and workplace conditions. "The proposed contract includes COLA increases in the next 3 years of 4%, 3.25 percent, and 3.25 percent," a staff presenter noted. Staff recommended approval; the board approved the resolution on roll call (6–0).
