South River authorizes shared municipal court services agreement with Milltown

The Borough Council on April 13 approved Resolution 2026-120 to enter a shared-services agreement with the Borough of Milltown for municipal court services. The resolution cites the Uniform Shared Services and Consolidation Act (N.J.S.A. 40A:65-1 et seq.) and N.J.S.A. 2B:12-1 as legal authority and authorizes Borough officials to execute the agreement "in substantially the form annexed" to the resolution.
The Clerk is directed to forward certified copies of the signed agreement to Milltown and the Administrative Office of the Courts. The council found the agreement to be in the best interest of residents and taxpayers and authorized execution and administrative processing steps.
