Hackberry Elementary School District board adopts FY27 budget with $370,000 projected carryover

The Hackberry Elementary School District #3 Governing Board on July 14, 2026 adopted the FY2027 budget following a public hearing in which no members of the public spoke. The motion to approve the FY27 Adopted Budget was made by Pam Adams, seconded by Charla Loomis, and passed 3-0.
Business Manager Sam Dell told the board that May financials showed about $297,000 remaining at the end of May and that June updates indicate the district will carry over approximately $370,000 into FY27. Dell also noted the district’s general ledger reflected about $160,000 more in the bank than the prior year and that the Student Council balance of $5,266.60 will carry forward to elected members for the coming year. The board took the adoption vote during the same meeting after completing the public hearing record.
