Water superintendent reports lapse in tower inspections and progress on meter installs

Water Superintendent Ronnie told the board that McGuire Iron "quit doing inspections for the water tower," and said the village's contract indicates the company owes five years' worth of inspections. Mayor Brendan Schaley said he would contact McGuire Iron to "get this matter straightened out" and to schedule the tank inspection.
Ronnie reported that almost all new water meters have been installed. To replace a few meters with difficult access, he said the village will hire Jones Septic so those pits can be dug using a mini excavator and avoid shutting down the road with the village backhoe. He also reported that water levels have been increasing and "look great."
