Stronghurst approves $12,000 sidewalk, including culvert work, at Main and Broadway

Trustees voted unanimously Sept. 3 to approve sidewalk repairs at the corner of Main and Broadway after reviewing a $12,000 estimate from Tim Thompson Contracting. The work will remove the existing concrete gutter line on the west side of the Fishers parking lot and replace it; Water Superintendent Ronnie will handle replacement of the existing culvert as part of the project.
Trustee Nathan Harden moved to approve the contract; Trustee Mike Bohnenkamp seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The board instructed Public Works to coordinate scheduling so the culvert replacement and contractor work proceed with minimal disruption to the adjoining business and street traffic.
