Board hears examples of classroom consolidation after teacher resignations

Board members raised concerns about classroom sizes after consolidation; staff said even after doubling up in some places, enrollment remained below typical capacity for those grades and that the district will only collapse or reassign classrooms if no qualified hires appear during the recruitment process.
