The Veribest ISD Board on July 21 approved an increase in lunch and breakfast prices for the 2025–26 year and awarded a procurement to Ben E. Keith for food and non‑food cafeteria items.
Dalena Freeman moved to approve the cafeteria price increases and the Ben E. Keith bid; motions were seconded and recorded as passing 4–0. The minutes list the awarded categories as meat, vegetables, milk, bread, fruits, condiments and miscellaneous non‑food disposable products; no dollar values or contract term lengths are included in the minutes.
Separately, a quote from Water Logistics was discussed and tabled to the August meeting for further review. Business Manager Denise Dusek’s written report was attached to the board packet, per the minutes, for additional financial context.
