SRP told members the upstairs room used for Mayor’s Wellness Campaign (MWC) programs will be unavailable from June 22 through July 22, 2026, and said some programs will be relocated or temporarily suspended. Current programs listed include Mat Pilates and Stronger for Life; Meditation and Mindset will meet monthly through June and resume in the fall.
The committee confirmed Aquacise Move & Groove classes at the town pool on Mondays July 6, 13, 20, and 27 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.; participants do not need to be pool members. SRP reported a planned partnership with the Meadowlands YMCA to provide instructors for several activities and is pursuing a mobile wellness van from HUMC for free screenings and testing in a park on July 9, pending Board of Commissioners approval. SRP recorded that the BOC did not support a proposal to make public parks tobacco-free and has requested clarification from the BOC because Ridgefield Park is pursuing an A Healthy Town designation.
