Members proposed a target of at least 100 families and discussed basket contents and collection points; the board noted prior guidance that distribution may need to be open to anyone who requests a basket rather than restricted to Oak Hill residents, and agreed the drop-off location would be City Hall once approved.
"Goal should be at least a 100 families," one committee member said during the meeting. Members suggested gift cards, nonperishable items and a simple checklist for completed boxes. A board member offered to draft a flyer and the group agreed to finalize item lists and logistics if the commission approves the program at its next meeting.
The program is still at the approval stage and the board will return with a final flyer and a checklist of contents after receiving commission direction.
