Pumpkin Patch set for Oct. 17; FFA to sell pumpkins, movie to follow

Board members emphasized timing concerns because October sunsets can make a late start problematic; they discussed keeping the pumpkin sales open during the day (vendors 2–6 p.m. suggested) and starting the movie after sunset. The board confirmed there is a 150-inch projector screen available from staff and members said they can arrange cords and lighting.
"FFA is going to purchase the pumpkins. They are going to sell the pumpkins. They are going to make the profit for the pumpkins," the chair said. Members also discussed vendor coordination, porta-potties for the Powell property (no interior restrooms there) and generator placement for food trucks so activities are not disrupted by noise or fumes.
The board agreed to firm up pumpkin quantities and vendor lists by the next meeting when more procurement details will be known.
