Superintendent Phil Burdine told the board that open house was well attended and that the district will split elementary and secondary open-house days going forward. He said secondary students walked through schedules under a new layout and that today was the first day of school.
Burdine reported enrollment is currently approximately 950 students and noted staffing changes, scheduling issues and registration problems the district is working to rectify. The board recorded the superintendent’s report with no separate motion.
