Fulton County commissioners approve routine consent items, all motions pass 3-0

The Fulton County Board of Commissioners met on Aug. 4, 2026, in Wauseon and approved a package of routine consent items, including meeting minutes, the day’s agenda, payment of bills and multiple appropriation transfers.
Commissioner R.J. Lumbrezer moved to approve the July 30 minutes and Commissioner Jeff Rupp seconded; "Motion passes 3-0." The board also approved the agenda (moved by Commissioner Joe Short), payment of bills after auditor certification, and a set of appropriation transfers that moved funds between departmental accounts for repairs, supplies and personnel costs. Each motion was recorded as passing unanimously, 3-0.
The appropriation transfers included examples such as $5,000 moved from repairs for the Elmira/Burlington sewer account into supplies for that sewer, and $8,000 shifted from a part-time salary line at the transfer station to the transfer-station medical insurance line. Commissioners said the transfers reflected routine budget housekeeping to cover operational needs.
The board’s actions were presented as separate resolutions and recorded in the official minutes; all formal votes were taken in open session in compliance with Ohio public-meeting law. No public testimony or debate on these consent items was recorded.
