The board approved updated job descriptions for a Network Systems Engineer, an Accountant and a School Safety Officer during the May 19 meeting, taking IX.A.2 items together and passing the collective motion 7-0.
During the discussion period, Board member Roderick Robertson asked how training differs between a School Safety Officer and a Security Officer. Director of Human Resources Ms. Anderson responded that Security Officers require level-two clearance while School Safety Officers need level-one training from the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS). Those clarifications were recorded in the minutes to explain the distinctions between the two roles.
The job-description approvals were recorded as routine personnel policy updates and carried unanimously.
