WOCCISD CFO discloses Region V co-op fees under new law; policy CDA approved

Chief Financial Officer Robin Hataway presented the district's financial statements and related reports at the May 19 meeting, including operating statements, the check register, investment report and tax collections.
Hataway said that House Bill 273 requires school districts to disclose amounts paid to purchasing cooperatives and reported that WEST ORANGE-COVE CISD paid Region V Food Service cooperative fees of $4,272.00 for fiscal year 2024-25. The board then voted to approve the CDA local policy on an annual basis; that motion carried 7-0.
The financial reporting items were informational, and the policy action constituted routine annual approval of a local procurement policy.
