The Ann Arbor Public Art Commission voted on Aug. 4 to submit its draft annual report to city council and authorized Commissioner Mary Theophils to make further edits before submission. John Jordan moved the motion and Allison seconded; after a voice favorable response the chair/staff declared the motion passed.
Mary, who prepared the draft, told the commission she pulled highlights from the past year’s minutes and used the previous chair’s template. Commissioners asked staff to clarify which capital improvement project recommendations had been implemented and to help populate artist names and photographs for the report.
The commission agreed to aim for placement on the council packet in September (the commission’s bylaws and fiscal-year timing point to a September submission), with staff confirming deadlines and accepting final edits until the submission date.
