Weimar ISD superintendent outlines fencing, cameras and facility upgrades

Superintendent Chase Seelke told the Weimar Independent School District Board of Trustees that several facility and operations projects are either complete or nearing completion.
Seelke reported that fencing around the bus barn and maintenance office is almost complete and that access-control hardware and security cameras were scheduled to be fully installed around May 7, 2025. He said the district has finished the LED project at the baseball field and indoor batting cages are complete; work continues on replacing the right-field fence. Global Data Technologies is scheduled to install new telephones "this week," which the superintendent said will integrate with the bell and alarm systems; Seelke also reported the HVAC control system has been rebuilt. The superintendent raised a facilities-usage agreement for discussion tied to baseball-field revenues and expenses.
