New principals introduced as Waco ISD celebrates student and staff recognitions

Superintendent Dr. Spicer used her report to introduce two new campus principals and to recognize district and student achievements. Dr. Barbara Page was introduced as the new principal at Kendrick Elementary, highlighted for instructional leadership and bilingual experience; Bamma Moore was introduced as G.W. Carver Middle School principal with 25 years in public education and prior Waco ISD roles.
The board also celebrated Waco ISD Fine Arts being named a 2026 NAMM Foundation Best Communities for Music Education recipient and congratulated students who qualified for state visual arts, 4-H and UIL competitions, including Torian Barnett (1st place, 4-H Speech) and Rogelio Enriquez (9th place, Boys 5A Shot Put). Events promoted included a Back-to-School Super Hero 5K on Aug. 1 and the Culture of Joy convocation on Aug. 3, 2026.
