The board unanimously approved an amendment to the Optional Flexible School Day Program (OFSDP) for Waco High School and University High School, a program that provides flexible scheduling and credit recovery options for students at risk of dropping out due to attendance challenges.
Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning Dr. Deena Cornblum presented the application and described that eligible students may complete coursework in person and, if approved, via virtual instruction to recover credit. The motion passed 6-0; staff will proceed to implement the amended program at the two campuses.
