At the July 20 meeting the Phillipsburg City Council recorded several unanimous actions. The council approved the July 6, 2026 minutes (moved by Terry McConnell, seconded by Lauren Weinert) and Appropriation Ordinance 1055-07-26A to pay the bills (moved by McConnell, seconded by Kenneth Craig), with voting recorded as 'Aye: ALL; Opposed: NONE.'
Later in the meeting the council adopted Resolution #362 permitting Black Sheep Tap House to close the 300 block of G Street for a special event (moved by McConnell, seconded by Shrader), approved a cereal malt beverage (CMB) license for S MART 4 (moved by Shrader, seconded by Craig), and approved a Second Amendment to the lease with the Kansas Department of Revenue to extend the lease for five years (moved by Shrader, seconded by McConnell). Each of those motions passed unanimously as recorded in the minutes.
